Vinyl methyl oxazolidinone (VMOX®)

Vinyl methyl oxazolidinone (VMOX®) is a colorless, liquid vinyl monomer. It offers an easy handling, excellent application properties and favorable toxicological profile.

Adhesives

VMOX® is used as a reactive diluent in UV cured adhesives. VMOX® is characterized by a high copolymerization reactivity with acrylates. The monomer contributes excellent adhesion properties on all common substrates, even at low dosages.

Coatings

As a reactive diluent in UV cured coatings, VMOX® is characterized by a high copolymerization reactivity with acrylates. The monomer contributes excellent adhesion properties on all common substrates, even at low dosages. The high Tg can enhance the toughness and resistance properties of a cured film.

Inks

VMOX® finds application as a reactive diluent in UV curing inks, for example, for digital UV printing as well as 3D printing. In addition to the low tox profile, VMOX® improves adhesion on low energy surfaces, and 3D printing applications benefit from improved mechanical properties.
