With the biomass balance (BMB) approach of BASF , fossil resources needed to produce our well established EPS brand Neopor® can be replaced 100% by renewable raw materials. This production method saves valuable resources while reducing the COimpact.

For example: the carbon footprint of Neopor® BMB improves by 90 percent compared to conventionally produced Neopor®. At the same time, all important product properties are retained. 

The central CO2 savings of Neopor® - even in its conventional form - result during the long-term use phase as insulation boards on the façade, which reduces the energy requirement for heating or cooling buildings and thus simultaneously reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
