For over 45 years, the ACCF plant in Ludwigshafen has been a reliable producer of acid chlorides and chloroformates, supplying key intermediates for pharmaceuticals, crop protection, plastics, and renewable energy applications. With an annual capacity of around 25,000 tons and a broad external customer base, the plant plays a vital role in diverse, stable markets. A major modernization investment launched in 2022 will increase capacity by approximately 30%, further strengthening BASF’s global leadership in chloroformates, acid chlorides, and alkyl chlorides.

Produced in Germany and South Korea, our expanding capacities and safe, innovative packaging ensure reliability from plant to customer.
