Diese hochwertigen Zwischenprodukte bewähren sich zum Beispiel bei der Herstellung von Lacken, Klebstoffen, Hochleistungsschmiermitteln, Aromastoffen und Druckfarben. Die jüngste BASF-Entwicklung in diesem Bereich ist Vinyl-Methyl-Oxazolidinon (VMOX). Es eignet sich speziell als Reaktivverdünner in UV-härtenden Lacken und Tinten. Gegenüber konventionellen Einsatzstoffen punktet VMOX mit einfacher Handhabung, ausgezeichneten Anwendungseigenschaften und vorteilhaftem toxikologischem Profil im digitalen UV-Druck und in der 3D-Druck-Technologie.
