BASF’s OASE® blue supports CCAT in carbon capture and storage project at Taiwan power plant

BASF has signed a license agreement with Carbon Cap Applications Technology Co. (CCAT) to provide its OASE® blue gas treatment technology for a carbon capture and storage (CCS) project at the Taichung Power Plant Carbon Reduction Technology Park, operated by Taiwan Power Company (Taipower), Taiwan’s largest electricity provider.
BASF’s Intermediates division converts its entire European amines portfolio to 100 percent renewable electricity. BASF’s Intermediates division converts its entire European amines portfolio to 100 percent renewable electricity

BASF’s Intermediates division, one of the world’s largest amines producers, is taking the next step towards more sustainability by converting its entire European amines portfolio to 100 percent renewable electricity. The transition starts in May 2025 and will apply to all amines produced at the European production sites in Ludwigshafen, Germany, and Antwerp, Belgium.

BASF completes divestment of shares in its two joint ventures in Korla, China

BASF has divested its shares in the joint venture companies, BASF Markor Chemical Manufacturing (Xinjiang) Co., Ltd. and Markor Meiou Chemical (Xinjiang) Co., Ltd. in Korla, China, to Verde Chemical Singapore Pte. Ltd. Following approval by the relevant authorities, the transaction was completed effective April 21, 2025. Both parties have agreed not to disclose financial details of the transaction.

Joint News Release: BASF and Forestal collaborate on advanced e-methanol production using OASE® technology 

Mugardos, Spain, March 26, 2025 — BASF and Forestal de Atlántico S.A. (Forestal) have signed an early disclosure agreement (EDA) aimed at advancing the production of e-methanol (eMeOH) through carbon capture solutions. Under this strategic partnership, BASF has been selected to share its proprietary OASE® blue technology, designed for the efficient removal of CO2 from flue gases, for use in Forestal’s pioneering Triskelion project in Galicia, Spain.

BASF and Sika launch epoxy hardener for sustainable solutions in the construction industry

BASF and Sika have jointly developed a new amine building block for curing epoxy resins, which is now commercially available under BASF’s Baxxodur® EC 151 brand. This new development is particularly interesting for flooring applications, for example, in production plants, storage and assembly halls, as well as parking decks.
