BuildTog Project in Darmstadt – External thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) with insulation materials made of Neopor®

Create architectural freedom - with energy-efficient and cost-effective construction: this was the objective of the BuildTog project in Darmstadt, Germany. Using thermal insulationmade of Neopor®, it was possible to accommodate the 37 flats inone building envelope with 0.26 W/m2K.

BuildTog project of the EURHONET (European Housing Network): new generation of residential buildings in Darmstadt:

  • 37 apartments on four floors and a penthouse level
    (total living space: 3,600 m2)
  • Quality of the insulated building envelope: 0.26 W/m2;*K
  • Thickness of external insulation: 0.12 W/m2;*K
    (26 cm of Neopor® 031)
