Reduced Product Carbon Footprint (rPCF) Intermediates

As part of our commitment to enable the sustainable transformation across industries, we are expanding our portfolio with a new product category called reducedPCF (rPCF) intermediates.

rPCF stands for reduced Product Carbon Footprint. This is our new sustainable product variant that offers a cradle-to-gate product carbon footprint (PCF)1 with a reduction of minimum 10% compared to the BASF standard product in the producing region. The PCF reduction is achieved through active measures, specifically the use of low emission feedstocks and low emission utilities. The substitution of fossil feedstocks with renewable feedstocks is not part of the PCF reduction measures applied for reducedPCF intermediates.

The new product range will be expanded, supporting our customers to fulfill their CO2 management targets.
